Things You Can do To Help

You don’t have to be a member of the OFGCC to help out. There are things you can do on your own when you visit the sanctuary to keep the environment and habitat clean.

• don’t throw trash in the marsh or on the grounds
• don’t throw leftover food to the animals
• don’t feed the birds unless the food is approved for them
• don’t pick or dig out the wildflowers or plants
• don’t smoke around the birds or animals – stay in the parking area
• don’t throw cigarette butts on the ground
• when you visit the sanctuary bring a plastic bag and pick up any trash you see
