Hunter Education

For over 40 years the Orillia Fish and Game Conservation Club has been involved in educating over 6000 students in safe gun handling procedures, hunting and conservation ethics. Hunter education courses are run continuously throughout the year by a group of qualified volunteer instructors who give freely of their time and expertise.*

The Leatherdale Bursary

The Leatherdale Bursary was established to honour the memory of some of the most dedicated and unselfish men of the Orillia area. These men gave freely of their time, money and skills over the years, to help make it possible for future generations to enjoy the great outdoors and environment around us.*

The Leatherdale Bursary is awarded annually and open to any graduating Orillia Grade 12 student who wishes to continue their education in conservation or a related field, such as a Conservation Officer, Biologist, Forester, etc. The amount of the bursary is determined annually.*
