Things You Can do To Help
You don’t have to be a member of the OFGCC to help out. There are things you can do on your own when you visit the sanctuary to keep the environment and habitat clean.
- don’t throw trash in the marsh or on the grounds
- don’t throw leftover food to the animals
- don’t feed the birds unless the food is approved for them
- don’t pick or dig out the wildflowers or plants
- don’t smoke around the birds or animals – stay in the parking area
- don’t throw cigarette butts on the ground
- when you visit the sanctuary bring a plastic bag and pick up any trash you see
